HISTORY
Barton Brownsdon & Sadler is an independent UK based wine importer based in Partridge Green, West Sussex.
Originally established in 1985 by John Brownsdon. After a few summers driving around vineyards across France, meeting small producers creating excellent wines, John returned wanting to bridge the gap between the buyer and producer and sought to promote his French focused portfolio throughout the UK.
The company was taken over by brothers Giles and Nick in 2004 where they began navigating the business through an increasingly competitive and challenging market. Today, whist retaining and continually developing the relationships established by John, BBS proudly work with over sixty producers over many regions around the world, carefully selecting interesting wines at desirable price points. Producers such as Novaripa; an ambitious Italian cooperative creating great quality Montepulciano and Pecorino, Chilean company Pacifico Sur and their ever reliable varietal range and the contemporary and understated Gravel and Loam with their Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
We provide a personal, efficient service to all our clients across England, Ireland, Scotland and the Channel Islands.
“In 20 years of doing business with BBS I have always been amazed and the high standards of both wine a service that has never once let me down”
